I  printed a paper today and soon after my printer started printing paper after paper over and over with random emojies on the pages.  It is disconected from the computer and network.  I have pressed cancel a number of times and it stops for a second and begins printing all over again and I can't get it to stop.  There is nothing in the computer showing pending documents.  Please help!!!

Turn off the printer and disconnect all cables except the power cable.  Now turn on the printer and see if it comes to ready. If it does, turn the computer off and turn it back on.  Now connect the cable from the printer to the computer and see what happens.  If the printer is connected with a network cable it is possible another computer on the network is attempt to print to the same address as your printer using a driver for another printer causing the issue.

I did as suggested turned off and unplugged all cables but the power cable.  I then shut down and turned it back on and then connected the ethernet cable and the USB and printed a document and then right after document of 10 pages was printed, it started printing out tons of pages of nonsense on pages.  it prints at only the top and bottom of the pages and wont stop until the paper is gone.

I am in a home and I use this computer and printer for personal use and business.  It is not connected to any other computers in the house.

When I turned it off and disconnected the USB cable from the printer the printer shows the ready sign and does not print anything out.  On the display board it shows ready and 4 little blocks and a code that says 192.168.1.80   .  It flashes back and forth with the ready and four blocks.

Anything else I can do to make this work?

THe folowing pages that print just have characters, letters, and emoji's all over the pages.

As I said in my previous post something else on the network is trying to print to the printer.  Is this a home printer or in an office and is there more than one computer where you are located.  Also is the printer connected to your computer with a usb cable and has another cable going to it or just has the one cable connected to the network.  The fact that it comes to ready without any cables connected tells me the printer is probably fine.  The 10 page document you printed I assume was correct and is not missing pages.  If so the blank pages with crazy characters on top are coming from another computer or even yours where another printer is listed but it is using the same ip address that is assigned to your printer.  The numbers you see on the display is the ip address and you will need a network person to resolve the issue for you.
