My printer began blinking yellow when I attempted to print a return form to Amazon.  I went to settings and didn't see any suggestions.  First, I put my finger on the button that turns it to green.  It went to green for a second and then back to yellow.   I turned the printer on and off several times.  I unplugged it from the network and then replugged it.  I took out the ink cartridge and put it back in aggain.  I restarted my computer.

HELP!  What else should I try?  The last document I printed was 20 pages long and it looked like the ink was getting a little faded looking, but I could still easiily read the document.  Do you think I need to replace the ink cartridge or would it tell me that somehow?

maybe it is out of toner, or maybe the print job somehow corrupted.

I would unplug the network cable or USB cable- power the printer off and back on. Press and hold the go/green button for about 5 seconds. When you release it, a test page should print from the printer. If the test page prints just fine, then you most likely have a corrupt file.

If the light keep blinking and it does not print, then either your toner is empty or there is a jam somewhere in the printer. Take the toner out and give it a good shake to redistribute the toner. load and unload the media and try again. If it prints the test page this time, plug it back up to your network or USB and try to print a simple test page from your computer.

If the light starts blinking as soon as you plug in the network cable, then it is most likely a corrupt print job and you will need to delete and readd the printer for MAC

around page 72 of the user guide is where you will find info on the light patterns and MAC issues

I am not a HP employee. I am a service tech on these forums researching topics and offering my best guess to aide in your troubleshooting.

It's fixed!  (I feel so silly!).  There was a piece of paper stuck in the back.  Thanks anyway for thinking about my problem!
