Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

In PDF file, in the print command, in the drop down menu, the name of my printer is not there. Therefore, unable to print.

But in Word file, there is no problem.

Pl. suggest.

Hi! @MSWAIN, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand that you are unable to print PDF files from your printer.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

What application are you using to print the PDF's?

Update the adobe reader to the latest version and check if it helps.

Please try the steps recommended below.

Press the Power button () to turn off your HP product.
Wait 15 seconds, and then press the Power button () to turn on the product.
Try printing again.
If the file prints correctly, you do not need to continue troubleshooting. The HP product's memory might have been full.
Make sure your HP product has enough memory (RAM) to print the PDF file. Adobe recommends at least 2 MB of RAM to print at 300 dpi and 4-6 MB of RAM to print at 600 dpi.*
To determine your product's RAM, scroll to the top of this Web page to the Search section.
Type your product in the Product box, and then type "specifications" in the Question or keywords box, and then click the arrow button ().
If the file does not print, continue to the next step.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot printer cannot print PDFs.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂
