Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I try to print, the paper goes through and the printer runs through the motions of printing, but the paper comes out blank.

After two or three of the advanced cycles of printhead cleaning, I start getting a smeared, incomplete printout; after five or six more, I get a printout that's mostly complete. WIthin a few days, though, it goes back to printing completely blank pages.

This seems unreasonable and excessive. What's going on, and how do I fix it?

Just adding on that I just bought new ink cartridges a little more than a week ago.

I've since printed off several test pages while running the printhead cleaning, and that's it. I'm now out of ink.

Pictured are the test pages after the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth printhead cleaning I ran today.

Hello, @Ernmark - Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for your continued participation in HP support forums! I will be glad to be of your assistance!

I understand that you are getting very bad print quality on your printer and have already used up all the cartridges for cleaning purpose. Going through your post, this looks like a hardware issue with the print head mechanism of your printer.

Hence, I would advise you contact the HP phone support for further assistance

You can visit http://www.support.hp.com/contact-hp and fill in your product details to get the tech support number.

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Good luck 🙂
