I need some help since I print a lot everyday and need it to print quickly.
Thanks.

Thank you so very much. I have a HP Officejet 6210 l All-In-One that had started doing the same "print a swath, then wait 10-15 seconds before the next swath?". I tried your test of only using one cartridge and the first attempt it screamed and had a dialog box with warnings everywhere and I gave up because I couldn't get it to do what you suggested. Then I went and priced new printers and bought a new set of print cartridges even tho the 94 in it is brand new and the 95 in it now is almost brand new and the one before was about 1/2 full.
This time I removed the black cartridge told it to print and walked away letting it scream at me. Lo and behold it eventually gave up and printed, just as slow, no change. I swapped, removing the tri-color and put in the black and hit print WOW what a difference once it quit screaming. Zoom, Zoom, Zoom. 🙂
Whooohooo Thanks, saved me a new printer. Now, is there anything I can do to salvage these to mostly full tri-color cartridges? I don't want to recycle as usual since something is obviously broken in them.

Did you try troubleshooting steps as discussed in this document? If you can recover the cartridges the best way to store them for later use would be on their sides in a small sandwich sized tupperware style container. Put a folded paper towel in the bottom to rest the cartridges and put a teaspoon of water on the paper towel to keep the humidity up. Do not let the nozzles touch the sides of the container or the paper towel, either would cause problems. Seal the lid and keep them in a cool place away from temperature extremes.
If the cartridges cannot be recovered then if the cartridges are original HP check the warranty for the color cartridges as shown here, you may be able to get replacements. If you are using refill/reman cartridges then I would suggest you return them to your supplier for a replacement.
If you want to recycle the cartridges see HP's recycling information here. This is a free service and the fact the cartridges are not working is not an issue as the components are recycled into basic materials (plastics, gold recovery, etc.).

Hello,
I have a problem with a HP Photosmart D5360.
It worked fine until a week ago. Now when the user tries to print, the printer receives the job (just a little slower), waits some time, then pull a sheet of paper, and then waits 1 minute between each cartrige swipe. So it prints about one page every 8 minutes.
After i found the problem, i tried reinstalling it, installing it on a different computer, installing all driver updates, i aligned and cleaned the print cartriges (witch are HP original), they still printed slowly.
Can you offer any suggestions?
Thank you in advance,
Razvan

This is caused by the failure of one of your cartridges. I am not sure the D5360 will print in backup mode with a cartridge removed, but try the following: Remove the black cartridge and print a test page. Does the printer print at normal speed? Is so the black cartridge was the issue and should be replaced. If not then put the black cartridge back in and remove the color cartridge and print test page. If the printer now prints normal speed the color cartridge was at fault and needs to be replaced.
If the printer will not print a test page with a missing cartridge then you will need to recplace the cartridge, I would start with the black cartridge.

Thanks for the recycle info., I love their postage paid bags and I always send them there. I gave you a kudos but I don't have an "Accept as Solution" button, just the Reply buttons.

One warranty was 11:07:15 the other has no date. I only buy HP cartridges (from Walmart) 94 and 95 NEVER refills. Kinda angry they had to have been out of date when I got them. 😞

The "accept as solution" is only available to the original poster in a thread and admins.
When buying cartridges I would suggest you check the "install before" date, this is generally found on the back of the box in the lower right. You should be able to read this before purchasing, it should be visible even in the plastic packaging some stores use.
