My computer tells me I can only print using apps. What do I do. I never set up apps to print

HP Recommended
HP photosmart 7510
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have always only printed direct from my computer and now it says I can only print using apps.  How do I change this setting

I understand that you are getting a prompt on your computer saying that you can only print using apps. 

Not to worry, I will be glad to help. 

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

 

Request you share a screenshot of the message you are getting. 

May I know which application you are using to print. 

Uninstall the printer software, restart your computer, install the latest full feature software of your printer from www.hp.com/drivers

Please provide the requested information for further assistance.
