Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw printer. I understand that you are getting issues with printer display and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.
Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,
- Make sure you have removed the protective film on the printer display.
- Change the angle of the printer display and check if it shows up.
- Reset the printer.
- When the printer is turned on, remove the power cable from the printer.
- Press and hold the power button for 30secs.
- Connect the power cable directly to the wall outlet and the printer.
- And turn on the printer.
Let me know how it goes.
If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,
Please click the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up".
Let me know how you make out.
Cheers.

A blank screen is usually caused by one of two things:
1) The screen is bad.
2) The formatter (main circuit board) is blown.
If the unit will still print from a computer, then it's the touch screen. If it sits there without doing anything, it's likely the formatter. There can be other things like lose wires, and a lot of minor stuff the manual tells you to try. But, if you do a percentage of what it could be, in my experience it's been, oh.... Probably 60% of the time it's the formatter, 35% of the time it's the touchscreen and 5% everything else.
