My MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.6.8) won't print wirelessly to Photosmart C4780.  I completed the setup for wireless printing, and my computer recognizes the printer (it is in my print queue with a green light, while non-connected, non-wireless printers have a red dot and say "Offline").... but when I try to print I get an error message "Unable to connect to printer, will try again in 30 seconds."  I ran the Wireless Network test report from the printer, and it is connected to the network and everything passed. Ran network configuration page- IP address is 192.168.1.100, but when i typed that into my browser nothing came up.

Am using a Linksys WRT54G router, no password.

I have no trouble printing using a USB.

I have tried uninstalling the printer and software and reinstalling from the disk (which IS v. 10.6 compatible).  Also uninstalled and downloaded updated drivers from HP website and reinstalled using their online version.

Please help!  Do not know what else to try

Let's reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

My HP does not have a System Preferences>Print & Fax. My MAC Pro gives me a message when I truy to print that says "Some components installed on your computer were developed by another version of HP utility. These components will not load and will not be accessible . Go ti HP online support and download latest version of software. I have tried but still cannot do it.

Your Mac has System Preferences (in the Apple menu).

Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Restart your Mac.

Reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

I downloaded the "HP Printer Drivers v3.1 for OS X" from the Apple website, at the link above, to my computer by mistake. How do I uninstall these drivers from my Mac?
