I have windows 8. My printer somehow is now offline. How do I get it back on line?

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?

If you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8 the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.

In W8 computer access wireless; was printing on wirelss printer connected to PC;No won't print and says "printer offline" but it isn't.  Can't get it on line using general techniques.  Something in W8??

Did this. Prints on PC but not remote laptop, so printer is not offline on PC. Doesn't show it is off line on remote laptop, but continue to get msg "printer offline" when I try to print.
