Installed on Win 10 with HP OfficeJet 4500 Wireless, connected via wireless. Try to open app and it launches and then closes straight away. Frustrating.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Instead of using the HP AiO Remote apps, perhaps you may want to try the FULL feature software?

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

The following resource will help you :

http://123.hp.com/us/en/

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. That's exactly what I did. Then I tried removing and adding just the basic drivers. Both install scenarios produced the same result. To be honest I've given up with trying to get the printer working with the W10 laptop and have resorted to installing the basic printer and scanner drivers on my Win7 CAD workstation. Which works fine over the network with the printer attached via Wireless.

By the comment "Everything working" I guess you overlooked the part where I mentioned I couldn't get it working on a W10 laptop and resorted to my Win7 CAD workstation. I'm no spring chicken when it comes to configuring PCs (20 years working for a large OEM computer manufacturer) so have a fair bit of knowledge when it comes to "getting stuff working". But this app just appears to be fubar. I'll bang a fresh SSD into the laptop and do a clean W10 install downloaded via my TechNet subscription. And then try again just to make sure something isn't odd with my current install. Which there shouldn't be as theres bugger all on the laptop bar the OS and Office.

Sure, do let us know how it turns out.

Cheers.
