I am trying to connect a brand new HP Envy 6055 to my Instant Ink account. This requires entering the "Printer Claim Code" in the HP Instant Ink website. Apparently the 5055 is REALLY new and REALLY different from the design of the old Envys, so the old instructions do not work (all the "help" online for obtaining Claim Codes is for the old printers with more detailed screens).
The current instructions and prompts do not work either. You are instructed to "Press and Hold the information button for 3 seconds until the buttons light up", then "Press the Resume button" to print the document with the claim number. The document that prints when you do this does not have a claim number OR an email address (apparently the email prefix would work if we could find it!). Unfortunately, somewhere along the line in the setup process, I was prompted to give my printer a personalized email address. I did, and now I don't know what the original one was to use that.
The old Envys used to have an IP address to log into them directly to access this information. I have not seen where this Envy has this. It does offer a website (one for Windows and one for Macs, but neither of these work and throw an error.
What the heck??!! HP... Your instructions are AWFUL!!!!!!!
Please help! I had Instant Ink on my last printer, and I really want to get this set up! Thanks!

Hi @My_Shi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Web-Services.
Please try these steps -
1) From the printer control panel, press and hold (the Information button) until all the buttons light up, and then press and at the same time to print the wireless network test report and network configuration page.
2) Find out the IP address or hostname of the printer from the network configuration page.
3) In a supported web browser on your computer or a mobile device, type the IP address or hostname assigned to the printer.
For example, if the IP address is 192.168.0.12, type the following address into a Web browser: http://192.168.0.12.
4) Click the Web Services tab.
5) In the Web Services Settings section, click Setup, click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions to accept the terms of use.
6) If prompted, choose to allow the printer to check for and install printer updates
7) When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page. Follow the instructions on the information page to finish the setup.
To know more, please refer to step#1 "Printers without a touchscreen or text-based display" from this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
