Deskjet 895 Cse
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I am trying to find a printer driver for a very old Hp printer Deskjet  895 Cse to use with my Mac as a backup if my newer printer fails or runs out of ink. So far, I see nothing available online. I don't need to do more than print documents, nothing fancy.

@Len_15,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to find the drivers for your Deskjet  895 Cse printer.

As this is an old printer, the drivers may not be available.

However, you can install the built-in drivers from the link: Installing a Mac Printer Driver Using Apple Software Update

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

Unfortunately it didn't work. After installation I tried to print a 1 page word document but it printed it in small pieces over several pages. Any other suggestions?

Hi @Len_15,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue still persists after following the steps provided in the previous interaction.

This issue could occur if the drivers are not compatible as it is a very old unit.

Hence, you may need to upgrade the printer to the latest model.

You have a good day ahead.
