Officejet Pro 8600 Plus
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We have a gear, the adf gear that drives the pickup rollers with a missing tooth.  This makes the adf in/op.  Visual inspection shows that it will pop off, but have to have replacement.  Not in warrenty.  CM750.  Location, under adf lid, white gear on far side, only exposed gear under the adf lid.  Could not find a parts list, or any way to get a part number to give to HP, nor for that matter if the part is orderable.

The HP Partsurfer site has some parts listed for the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, but I do not see any individual parts for the ADF

Thanks for the link, Bob.  But already checked that one.  NOTHING for the adf, not even the adf.  Found two parts adfs on fleabay, for over $60.  But only for a gear?   I still have hopes somebody can send me something to keep 'Trusty' on the stand.  I also found out what happened, so to pass this on...  'Sprayway SW-203, Rubber Roller Cleaner and Conditioner' had been used, and it damaged the gear, making it brittle.

Update, looks like my best chance is at partshere.com.  The have the pickup wheel assembly, but the pictures leave some to be desired.  Unable to see shaft and gear on end.  Will have to call them.

Partshere was a total wash.  They finally gave me a part number, for the larger assembly, which they got wrong.

HP.  I speak some Hindi.  Please, get some English as first language people in the tech assist and parts sections.  VERY POOR.  ***VERY***

I am now researching the various plastic gear parts manufacturers, trying to match the tooth count/size/core.

Purchased a dead printer for parts.  A very poor show, HP.
