HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Back in May 2020 I thought I needed a PCL3 driver to install my new Office Jet 8025 on my HP17t notebook. Installation always failed with the error message of "this software was not digitally signed properly". We tried many things with no success. I was finally told to contact technical support. Although the printer was under warranty I was exhausted with the process and only used the Officejet from my desktop HP510. I few days ago I was helping someone print from the HP17t  notebook to the Laserjet M203 and noticed the the Officejet 8025 was setup. I don't know how or when it happened but it worked. Properties listed the device as "HP Officejet 8025 PCL3". This must have been the solution!

Hi @morhouston ,

.......,,......,.,.

This usually happens with Windows updates, in that process Windows system check for devices and update the drivers needed.

When I connect my Officejet 9010 in a new Laptop computer also is setting up like "HP Officejet 9010 PCL3 Class driver" in the Properties windows.

Some Windows systems are not updating properly and causing some problems when trying to install printers.

Thanks for sharing the solution that now is working with your Officejet printer.
