Officejet 6500 E710n

I replaced the ink cartridges on my Officejet 6500 E710n printer and now nothing prints. I've cleaned the printhead as recommednded by the online instructions. Now, the ink levels (color) have been reduced to 1/2 full. I've not printed one single document. I'm at a loss. Can someone please help?

For better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did you clean the print heads from the computer software of the printer and not manually?
  • Did you align the cartridges after replacing them?
  • Did you wait for a longer time to replace the cartridges despite getting the message replace ink cartridges?

When ink cartridges are replaced, normally an alignment page is printed.

Manual cleaning of the cartridge and print heads is recommended as cleaning it from the printer software consumes a lot of ink and depletes ink levels.
