Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I am about to update my venerable hp 4050n with a new colour laser.

I am considering a hp m533dn but also a Lexmark cs725de.

 

Has anyone had experience with the Lexmark option?

I cannot find a single review on what appears to be a very well made and capable alternative with more economical ink capacity.

 

I need no convincing on the HP M553dn as it has been favourably reviewed.

just thought I would

Hmmm.. don't you think this is something to check with Lexmark?

 

This forum deals with HP printers and users in here are more familier with HP printers, not with other brands...

Lexmark Australia and the US have not responded to my email requests  seeking information re reviews and specific qualification of print quality.

 

And there are no  decent reviews of the cs725de Lexmark printer on the web  (!)

 

I expected someone on the Forum may have had some experience with the  Lexmark the competition and could advise.

At this stage I am more confident with the hp m553dn.......

OK I decided to pass on the Lexmark after much deliberation  I've just ordered the HP M553X

I guess I am basically risk aversive and prefer to stick with a brand I trust!

 

Happy to report performance once I receive the beast!
