New pc running Windows 10 but my HP Deskjet 710c no longer works, although it is listed compatible
05-03-2017 11:20 AM

I have recently bought a new pc running Windows 10 but my HP Deskjet 710c no longer works with it, although it is listed as compatible on the HP website.
I have contacted Microsoft but they are stumped...
I don't want to throw my printer away as it is a good solid machine and was working perfectly with my previous XP pc.

Microsoft Drivers provide the basic print function for your printer.

Apologies - I updated the Dragon document link -- it now appears to work as intended.
Unfortunately, there may be little help there -- the example How-to sequence does explain that for a USB connected printer, you want to use the USB port.
The installation is largely under the control of the Windows Driver installation -- I did verify that the printer does exist in the printer list (right column) and so should be available for installation.
Assuming the Add a Printer installation of the printer is successful, that is, you do not encounter errors during the Driver installation, then you might try Restarting both the printer and the computer.
