I have an Office Jet 6600 that only has a scan to computer option which then scans the doc as a PDF. Once scanned it will not allow me to change the format to a Word doc or make any changes. Scan to email would be nice, but scanning to a Word doc would be ideal.
Does anyone have a solution?

Hi @Mikerz
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to scan to email or to word document.
Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.
I would like to inform you that you can only scan to email, PDF or JPEG file formats and scan to a word document is not possible.
Refer to the below article on how to scan.
For Windows: http://hp.care/2q3If8X
For Mac: http://hp.care/2q3FYuA
Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
Take care.
Cheers!

Scan to email isn't an option for me, unless I have Outlook set up which I don't
I've tried using the windows 10 scan and fax app but it scans as a jpeg.
What I need to do is scan in documents that have multiple recipes per page, then be able to copy and paste so each one is seperate.
I have 100 pages to complete with 4 recipes on each. I need to create documents with only 1 per page. Hope that makes sense.
If they are scanned as jpeg or pdf I can't copy and paste what I need to make new documents.

Hi @Mikerz
Use the Scan to Email Wizard in the HP software to set up the Scan to Email feature.
-
Search Windows for your printer model name, and click the printer name in the list of results.
HP Printer Assistant opens.
-
Double-click Scanner Actions or double-click Scan to Email Wizard
-
When the outgoing email profile window displays, click New, and then enter the email address that you want to use with the profile.
-
Enter an email profile display name. This is the name that will display on the printer control panel for the email profile.
-
Enter a security pin to restrict access to this email profile from the printer control panel, if desired.
-
If you typically need to enter a user name and password to log into your email account, enter that information into the email authentication fields.
-
Click Next, and then click Save and Test or Save to complete the email profile configuration.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
Take care.
