HP LJ M1530 MFP Series PCL6
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I recently had my modem/router replaced.  i got my Wireless HP 6510 working just fine.  But I can not get my HP LaserJet M1530 MFP Series PCL 6 to print using the ethernet connection.

I can see it in the printers page, but no printing.  Here is the problem found with the troubleshooter:

Printer HP LaserJet M1530 MFP Series PCL 6 can not be contacted over the network.

I have checked the cable to the printer, it a a greenlight and orange light at the connector and the cable works on another device.

Any suggestions

Thanks

George

Hello, does the ip address scheme match for the new scheme since you replaced the modem/router? Also, you may need to set the printer to dhcp so that it can automatically grab a new ip address, along with subnet, and gateway. Beyond that it may just be a firewall setting blocking that port.

Hope this helps....

I did more testing   I have the HP LaserJet M1530 MFP Series PCL 6 hard wired printer and a HP 3510 wireless printer.

I have a couple of other computers they will print to bth oh of the printers.

My Gateway computer with Windows 7 will print to the HP 3510 but I can't get it to print to the HP 1530.

I can't find how to check DHCP setting.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

George
