Officejet 8620
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I set up my 8620 about a year ago. It's been working perfectly (still working perfectly). I'm set up on one (of 3) of my networks. Somewhere along the line the desktop software got scrambled and is useless. I've tried reinstalling the printer on the same network but set up can't find the network. Now remember, the printer is working fine right now. So not finding network durring setup worries me. I've printed out the network settings and everything is correct. I'm at a loss here as all I want to do is re-setup the original software and I can't without installing the printer. Do I need to uninstall everything and start from scratch? Any advise, comments or flames welcome.

Thanks for using the HP Forums. Can you try the following:

Please Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR) tool to diagnose and fix your problem

If that doesn't work, please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)

 

The following resource will help you :

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
