When I ru. The print quality report, I get little black lines right where the arrows point, and it says to run the feed alignment calibration. I have cleaned the heads, done regular alignment, everything else is good but I get these little black lines every couple cm when reg printing images.

when I run the line feed calibration, it prints a page, sits there saying printing, then comes up with unable to calibrate line feed error and to recycle the paper that was printed.
anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting print quality issues,  I am glad to assist you.

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

Meanwhile:-

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page to identify the print quality issue.

  1. Load plain white paper into the tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to scroll to Setup, and then touch the Setup icon (). The Setup menu displays.

  3. Swipe the display to scroll to Print Reports, and then touch Print Reports.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report. The printer prints a test page.

If that does not print fine, follow these steps to fix the issue:-

Clean the printhead

  1. Load plain white paper into the tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to scroll to Setup, and then touch the Setup icon (). The Setup menu displays.

  3. Swipe the display to scroll to Tools, and then touch Tools.

  4. Touch Clean Printhead. There are three cleaning stages. A test page (different from the Print Quality Diagnostics page) prints between each cleaning stage. Do not use this test page for analysis. Touch No when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning.

Calibrate the linefeed

Use an automated tool to calibrate the linefeed.

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to scroll to Setup, and then touch the Setup icon (). The Setup menu displays.

  2. Swipe the display to scroll to Tools, and then touch Tools.

  3. Touch Calibrate Linefeed.

  4. After the printer prints a test page, touch OK, and then recycle or discard the test page.

  5. Print another Print Quality Diagnostic Page to see if the issue is resolved.

I did all of those things. When I print quality report it shows black lines where the arrows are, which is says I should calibrate the line feed. That is where the problem is. It prints the calibration paper, then says it could not calibrate and the throw away the paper.

I still have the lines. I have went through all these steps multiple times.
always gets failed calibration.

when I print it has those lines every 2 cm or so through the image .
