OfficeJet 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I have only had my HP OfficeJet 3830 for two months, and now it won't print! Everything was working fine, until I had to reload paper. I used the SAME paper I had been using before with no problems, but now the rollers on one side pull the paper down faster than the other side, the paper gets twisted and jams! I've tried reloading, turning off and on, different paper... is this just a problem with the rollers? Is it fixable? This was a gift, and I don't think I have the receipt. Please help!

@Todd8,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing paper jam issues with your HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if the rollers are dusty or not working properly.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Paper Jam

If the issue still persists, then you may need to contact phone support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Yeah, it's a brand new printer though. There is NO reason I should have to do maintenance on a new printer. I had already read the article you posted before I posted on this forum. I was just hoping for a simpler explanation than that. I guess I will contact HP. Thanks!

@Todd8,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue still persists after following the steps provided in the previous interaction and also it is a brand new unit.

This could be a hardware issue with the paper pickup roller motors or the paper pickup rollers.

Hence, for further assistance, you need to contact phone support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp
