OfficeJet Pro 6978
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I print images from Word or PowerPoint, my new OfficeJet Pro 6978 does not properly scale the printout.  I am using 8.5" x 11" paper.  It seems to explode the page so that I only get the upper left quadrant of the original image, exploded to the full size of an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.  It prints normal Word text documents correctly.  If I save either document as a PDF, it prints them correctly.

Hi TUV_34,

The issue might be with the setting in MS Word or if you bring the images outside out the margin in your word document.

Try going to the print menu in Word and under the settings adjust the margins to be smaller to fit the image inside.

Hope this works for you

Unfortunately, it is not a margin issue.  That was the first thing I checked.  When I click Print Preview, the documents display correctly.  But when they print, I only get about 40% of the document, but exploded to fit the full 8.5" x 11" sheet.  (This also happens in PowerPoint.  So it seems to be a printer problem, not an MS Office problem)

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve images not printing correctly in Word or PowerPoint.
