OfficeJet Pro 8610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been trying to figure this out all morning to no avail, so here I am.

I am trying to get an OfficeJet 8610 to recognize an ethernet connection to a PoE switch. I disabled the PoE on the port I plugged the printer into, so I do not have any PoE running to the printer. I have tried doing a Restore Network Defaults, and a Restore Factory Defaults, with no luck. I just need to know where to go from here, I've never had this issue before and I have been working with these printers for a couple years now - it's the only printer we use in our executive offices.

In your network environment, are there available IP address on your router to assign to this printer that you are adding into your network?

If you know your network IP address range, you could try to set an availeble Static IP address on the product.

Hi,

Ensure the ethernet cable is correctly plugged to the printer and the router, as well try switching to a different LAN port of the router.

Allow it a minute and check again, if the same persist try a different ethernet cable and check for any difference.

i highly doubt it can be because of ethernet cable ,
