Hi,
I have a mobile Officejet 150. It was printing OK until today. I printed a page in one job. Then tried to print another page in a second job and the display just went to "Now printing..." and nothing happens. I've tried to turn off the printer, do a power reset (removed power plug and battery for about 20 minutes), and left the print job alone for about 40 minutes. None of those steps helped. Then I tried to do some printer maintenance (clean cartridges, align cartridges). The align job did not work - it also hangs at the display "Printing alignment page..." but never does anything. I also tried copying a page and the same thing happens - the display says it's copying and the page advances a small amount in the scanner, but then nothing further happens. I've tried the Print & Scan doctor, but it gets stuck when getting the status from the printer. The HP toolbox gets estimated print levels and the basic info (model/serial #) from the printer. When I try to print a test page from the toolbox, it also gets stuck at "Now printing...".
I am wondering if an update of the firmware might help, but can't find the firmware files anywhere. The download web page at HP just has the printer driver and the Print & Scan doctor.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, @SuperV - Greetings!
Thanks for reaching out! I'd like to help 🙂
Going through your post, I see that your printer is not making a copy or any other functions. Appreciate all your troubleshooting efforts so far!
I am afraid that there is no firmware update available for this printer at the moment. The only thing you can try is to perform a complete power drain. You have already tried this, but you can check the steps below:
· Remove the cartridges from the printer.
· With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and remove the battery.
· Remove USB cable, if present.
· Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
· Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
· Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Now, try making a copy. If the issue persists, then the issue could be with the printer hardware. Please contact the HP phone support for further assistance.
HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true
(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
Good luck 🙂

Hi dvortex,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'd already tried the power-off trick, but did it again (after power disconnected about 24 hours and hitting power button before plugging it back in) this morning just to be sure. Printer is still unresponsive. Now even the clean cartridge function won't produce any action from the printer.
I checked the support page - it comes back with "This product is no longer serviced by HP. You may search for possible solutions on this support website. " For a printer that cost me close to $400 this is a disappointing statement. Even if the printer were repairable, I'm guessing the cost would come close to or surpass the $68 for a brand-new Canon Pixma MG6820.
Overall this printer has been very disappointing. Although it has worked well until recently and is quite portable (the main reason I bought it), I printed only about 100-150 pages over the almost 5 years of ownership. I would have expected an HP printer to provide a better span of life.
