Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have selected double side scanning on the scanning options, however, the scanner does not perform double side scans!?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

The printer ADF does not scan double sides automatically.  

 

Try this software:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

 

After installing the HP Scan Extended, you can take a look at this example on how the software will prompt you to place the document to scan the second side:

 

HP Officejet Pro 6960 series : Scan a 6 pages 2 sided document using the ADF

 

Let us know if that works.
