Officejet 6830 Pro

Hi,

I have a officejet pro 6830 printer. It is coming up with an issue saying there is a problem with printer head. I have tried print head cleaning from printer maintainence but no use. I am using original cartiridges.

I have seen similar posts with similar issue suggesting it is a hardware problem and cant 't be fixed by user. official posts from HP suggest that printer can be replaced if it was bought less than 2 years ago. Mine is older than that, I wanted to know what are my options and if I send it for service or printerhead replacement how much it costs. Any suggestion would be apprrciated.

Else  I will have to chuck it away and buy new one. Issue is I havent used this printer too much it is sort of new and now when I need to use it frequently I get this error. Scanner works absolutely fine.

@Bhawna_B, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print due to this error.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Printhead Errors

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure with the printer. The printhead is not replaceable on this model printer. It is integrated into the printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
