Hi @Ray_66,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for the First Time Here? I see from the post that you are getting a '0x' error message on your HP OfficeJet 7612 printer. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges?

Have you tried to perform a Hard reset on the printer?

Have you tried to update the firmware on this printer?

In the meantime, let's start off by performing a Hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

If your printer connected wirelessly, make sure to temporary connect the device with USB and then follow the link to check to install the latest firmware update for your printer, click here: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJ7612/OJ7612_R1615A.exe

Next thing, I would suggest here is to change the energy settings and you could also check if other devices are not causing the issue, for more please follow this link.

At the same time, I would also suggest you go through the support document for - A 'Carriage Jam' Message Displays for HP Officejet 7610 Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer Series (H91...

I hope this should do the trick. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Regards,

Thanks! I did all that you mentioned. It is making a clicking sound on the left side of the printer when it is trying to check the cartridges. The Messgae is "There is a problem with the printer or ink system." That is as far as I can get.
