@SmithDon

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer and it gives a printhead error with a code 0xc19a0003. ou have disconnected and reconnected the printer and error still appears. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Did any recent changes take place on the printer (like a cartridge replacement, carriage jam error, etc.)?
  • Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges or refilled ink?

Meanwhile, I did some research and suggest you to perform the following steps:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the error still appears then please continue to troubleshoot using the steps as described in detail from this link.

Hope this fixes the issue. But if you encounter the error again then it indicates towards a hardware issue and I recommend you to contact HP phone support to explore the service options for your printer.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!

Out of patience with this printer. Actually the printer that is now having a "printhead" issue is actually the replacement printer for the first printer I purchased and returned to HP with the same issue in 2016 a little over a year ago. This is unacceptable to me therefore I will be forced to buy another printer. Too bad HP, because I have always used HP products and have an old 1500 series printer that I have used for years with absolutely no problems.
