However, if there is an interruption in the scan process (such as a paper jam), on retry, I get normal screens up to the 'Now Scanning' screen but the unit does not physically scan the pages loaded in the ADF tray.  Removing and reloading the pages does not help nor does lifting the document cover or opening and closing the ADF door on top. Turning off the power does not help.

 

After about 30 minutes, the scanner recovers the ability to scan normally.

 

As I typically scan two sided, the jamming happens a fair amount and causes a significant delay as I wait for the scanner to return to service.

 

Anyone know why the long delay and a way to improve?
