Office Jet Pro 8710 All-in-One

We get a busy signal when sending a fax and those sending us a fax get a message that our fax is busy. It is connected through a DSL line. We have had the phone company come and check the lines and they say everyting is working fine, that the machine has to be defective. We purchased the new 8710 and we have the same problem.

Hi,

You might want to ensure that the physical setup is correct.

Then please run the fax test report and do update us on the error message.

Refer to this document on how to printer a fax test report

I discovered that the Fax was set at PULSE NOT TONE.

That was the solution.

Fax now works fine
