Hello,
I somehow all of the sudden started getting an 'out of memory' error every time I try to print. So I've tried every idea I can find to try and re-install my printer and software but cannot even get that accopmlished without getting 'fatal errors'. (tried Print Doctor, using the troubleshooting report to try installing in boot mode etc.) Anyone come across this issue lately and found a way to fix it?
Using:
Printer - PSC 1401 all-in-one
Windows 7 64 bit
Recent changes I had made before noticing this erorr is that I installed a new video card and more ram...no idea why that would cause an issue.
Thanks for any help.

Hello noname1282004
How is the printer connected to the computer? Do you have the latest drivers for you video card installed (as you said it is unlikely related, but always good to have updated drivers). The Out of Memory error sounds like it could be RAM related and you do mention upgrading it recently. Lets keep this in mind.
Could you attach a screenshot of the Fatal Error? Also, is there any more detail to the error? Usually they are acompanied by a 4-digit error code or a sentence explaining the error.

Hello noname1282004
Are you still having a problem with your printer? If so I would like to help. Read my post above and let me know a little information about how your printer is connected and if there is any 4-digit codes associated with the fatal error.

Travis or anyone,
I am having the "Out Of Memory" message only when my OfficeJet J6480 printer/ Compaq Presario SR5233WM Desktop PC/ Vista Home Premium, tries to print a Works Database form. I have never had problem with old DeskJet 882C, that just died. So I need the J6480 to work. And, the J6480 doesn't get "out of memory" for Word documents, just Works Database forms. Like others here on forum, I have 100's of forms from over the years that I cannot lose or change at this point.
I will add that I am able to print the forms, but I need to stop and always click off the "Out Of Memory" box (see below). I prefer not to have to do this for every print.
The J6480 has always been connected (wireless) even when using the old deskjet printer. I have loaded and deleted and re-loaded printer and software many times. And, the message appears regardless of wireless or wired connection (i've tried both).
Nothing has been changed throughout my whole system. I just want to use this printer for Works database forms.
I can't get a snapshot of the message, but it goes like this:
I start with Works form. I click to print and then the little box shows up in middle of form reading:
"Microsoft Works" (at top of box)
Red "X" and "Out of Memory" are across middle of little box
and "OK" click is at bottom of little box.
Any idea about this? What can be fixed?
Much appreciated!
