P3005 randomly doesn't turn on out of sleep mode from print commands from my macbook pro

turn off and on always solves the problem.  thanks

That is not a solution, that is a bandaid, power cycling the device will reset it but not solve the original issue.

Has anyone actually solved the issue?

Press Menu to open the menus.
Press (DOWN) to highlight CONFIGURE DEVICE, and then press (SELECT).
Press (DOWN) to highlight SYSTEM SETUP, and then press (SELECT).
Press (DOWN) to highlight SLEEP DELAY, and then press (SELECT).
Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select the appropriate time period, and then press (SELECT).
Press Menu to exit the menu.
Turn the Sleep mode on or off
Press Menu to open the menus.
Press (DOWN) to highlight CONFIGURE DEVICE, and then press (SELECT).
Press (DOWN) to highlight RESETS, and then press (SELECT).
Press (DOWN) to highlight SLEEP MODE, and then press (SELECT).
Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select ON or OFF, and then press (SELECT).
Press Menu to exit the menu.
