Did you ever get an answer? I am having the same problem and still can't print some files so I am using an old printer. My HP is new so it's very frustrating going in a circle for answers!

I understand that you are getting a PCL XL Error 8958. TO be able to assist you with this further, I would need to know a bit more information.

1) What is the model number of your computer?
2) What is the model number of the printer that is giving the error?
For these first two questions I have included the 'Guide to finding your product number'.
3) What program are you trying print from?
4) What format are you trying to print? (ie. PDF, jpeg, ect)

Hi, Morning everyone,

i got this problem in printing, my printer is laserjet CP1525n Colour

the file i want to print is PDF file and i use adobe reader to open it to help me do the printing,

but still print out paper with

PCL XL Error

Error: IllegalAttribute
