When I print from a document saved in memory I get a @PJL SET JOB NAME="MIcrosoft Word - (then 4 letters). then "@PJL COMMENT="HP Officejet Pro 8610 Wi

That page is followed by a page of ink streaks instead of print.

BUT when I print from an unsaved document it prints correctly.

wierd.

I've been using this printer on my Toshiba Portege computer with i7, windows 7 & Office 2010 for a couple months & had no problems until today.

What happened? What to do about it?

thanks

Thanks for visiting the HP Forums @YBN,

I saw your message about the streaks on your print outs and wanted to reply with my own suggestions.

I think the issue sounds like a software issue, only because you mentioned that unsaved documents print out fine, which shows us the printer itself is fine.

You can try re-saving the document that is showing the quality problem when it prints out, or try printing it from another program.

Other things you can try are uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver and software, which will correct any driver related conflicts that could possibly be causing the issue, or you can uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Word.

I hope this info helps, let me know what happens after you try those steps.

Have a great weekend 😄

THank you for the suggestions. Guess what? Even stranger, it now 2 days later, works fine as if nothing ever happened wrong.
