I am at my wits end.  I have been attempting to run PRINT AND SCAN DOCTOR for more than a month and I keep getting the error message "PRINT AND SCAN DOCTOR DOES NOT SUPPORT WINDOWS XP.  I have NEVER had WINDOWS XP, I HAVE WINDOWS 7 64 BIT.  My only alternative now is to just dump my current WORKING printer and purchase a new printer, but how can I convince HP that I DO NOT HAVE WINDOWS XP, I HAVE NEVER HAD WINDOWS XP, I HAVE WINDOWS 7..

You may certainly do what you say and dump a working printer.  Because it still works, please consider donating the printer to a local charity.

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpg  Please know that the printer and the scan doctor program are not related except in the sense that the Print and Scan program (when it is working as expected) able to discern and fix some problems encountered with various different printers and setups.

In other words, replacing the printer will likely not resolve an issue with the Print and Scan Doctor.

If you have not already done so, and perhaps even if you have,

  • Uninstall your existing Print Doctor >
  • Shut down the computer, wait for three to five seconds >
  • Boot the computer >
  • Download and install a new copy of the Print and Scan Doctor program >
  • Restart the computer and log in

No guarantees - even assuming the Doctor program works, it may or may not find / fix the unknown issue with the printer.

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpgSome miscellany issues can be correct by uninstalling the printer software > rebooting > download and install a fresh copy of the Full Feature Software:

HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers - Windows 7

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpgIf the problem with the printer is related to Web Services, and if you have not done so, please Update the firmware on the printer.

HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer series Firmware Update

Be Aware:  READ the instructions and THEN proceed.

Good Luck.
