Pagewide MFP 377dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I place Letter-Head paper in Tray 1 and it prints beautifully on one side (I place the paper face down, top toward the machine)

If I try and print 2-sided, it prints on the wrong side first. If I then print in the reverse order, it works as long as I have an even number of pages to print. Otherwise it prints Page 1 then nothing on the reverse, then page two etc.

It seems as if the 2-sided print option needs some re-thinking.

Also the printer often doesn't turn off at night when programmed. I don't use the FAX facility and so it doesn't need to be plugged into the phone line. It also turns on automatically at night at times, even when not programmed to!

Any suggestions?

I'm assuming that the printer you are referring to is a Colour LaserJet Pro M377 series printer (which is a LaserJet printer, not an InkJet printer).

If so, when printing 'sided' paper types (such as Letterhead or Prepunched), the paper must be loaded in one way for Simplex prints, but in a different way for Duplex prints.

According to the User Guide manual,  paper that requires a specific orientation should be loaded into tray 1 as follows:

Similar considerations apply to loading such paper into the cassette tray (tray 2).

Pagewide MFP 377dw - This is the inkjet unit.

I hadn't been aware that you were referring to the PageWide m377 printer, rather than the LaserJet m377 printer, when I composed my earlier reply.

According to the User Guide manual for your model, similar principles apply to the orientation of 'sided' stationery (such as Letterhead or Prepunched), which requires different orientations for Simplex and Duplex jobs.

However, it appears that your model also supports Alternative Letterhead Mode, which allows such paper to be loaded the same way for both Simplex and Duplex jobs.
ALM mode can be enabled/disabled via the front panel controls, or via the Embedded Web Server equivalent.
