When I attempt to print a photo on my photosmart premium C310  printer, on Windows 7 operating system, the photo paper tray feeds like it will take the paper but does not.  Get error message to load paper into tray.  Sometimes it partially feeds it and then the photo paper just drops into the inside without feeding through.  Not really a jam, but not working no matter what fix I try. Help??

Thank you for this information! I am happy to hear this printer is now printing photos, but now you're receiving vertical lines. When changing the print settings, are you changing this quality tab to best? You are changing every print setting available?

I would like you to print a test page from this HP document here to verify if you're receiving vertical lines. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello crazyissue,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand the Photosmart Premium C310 is not feeding photo paper. I will do my best to assist to you! Please follow this entire HP document on The Printer Does Not Pick Up Photo Paper from the Photo Tray.

Make sure you're changing the print settings on your computer to fit the type of photo paper you are printing. If you print on normal paper are you receiving the same issue?

Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector. I want to see if this makes a difference. Also, try resetting the printer for more than 60 seconds. Leave the printer turned on> Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.

Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great night! Smiley Happy

I tried all the suggestions for correcting this issue.  Nothing worked.  Regular paper is feeding properly every time and never was an issue.  However, the HP photo paper will not completely feed through.  I cleaned several times all the feed rollers and followed all the instructions to the letter.  It does not matter if I put one hp photo paper in or a stack.  The photo paper gets only as far as the rollers behind the duplexor.  Can't figure this issue out and see no other solution.  This is a printer that is rarely used for photos and I can't seem to get it working properly.

STATUS UPDATE:  After resetting the printer one more time, it is now taking the photo paper and printing the photos.  Next problem, photo quality if poor, with vertical lines in it... Next issue, to resolve:  Vertical lines in printed photos on HP photo paper.!!

Now I discover I am out of photo black so must replace that but I think after that things will work correctly.  The only unusual thing now is that it still gives me the message of no paper in feeder, but upon saying ok it does print the photo.
