I have a HP Photosmart C4280.

One tutorial about resetting the ink level shows a HP 56 cartridge.

I have HP 75 and HP 99 cartridges with a different arrangement of holes.

Can you give me the procedure for my cartridges? Which holes and in what sequence?

Thanks

Can I ask where did you get this information?

Thanks

This procedure is shown on a number of UTube videos. Here is one:

There is one utube video which claims that these "tape over contact holes" procedures are "hoaxes" but I can't find the url for it now.

Can you tell me how to use the "special key combos" feature to access functions?

After you press simultaneously the ON and CANCEL buttons you get the above message. There is a utube video outlining how to get the various functions built into the printer but I can't follow the steps. If they would have printed the procedure in text I could then follow.

I found a neat procedure for getting at the toolbox function for printing a test page with all the info about the cartridges on it. Press simultaneously CANCEL and light green button (bottom button).

I have printed 11,981 pages so far!!!
