I'm about to change ISPs & wish to change from wireless printing/scanning to USB connection.  I've connected the printer with the USB cable supplied. I've turned off the wireless connection on the printer's panel. Although I can print with the printer connected via USB, I can't get my computer to recognise the printer to do any scans. Obviously, I'm missing a couple of steps I need to do, but need some help, please.

Hi,

Please re-install printer software and drivers and select USB. You need to pull the cable out first and plug back when the process asking for.

Regards.

Thanks for the quick reply, banhein. I think I may have fixed it in the meantime. I'd forgotten about the HP Print & Scan Doctor. I ran it & it fixed some errors. I was able to scan afterwards.

If I have any more problems, I will try your solution.

Thanks again.
