We have not printed in a month or so. Just replaced all ink cartridges. All work fine except black. We have tried everything listed on the forums that we can find from cleaning to vents...
HP Photosmart 6510 Printers - Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink
Of course out of warranty, and no money for repairs.
I think this is the last hp printer we buy. Please, if there is a way to make this work...
thank you you for any help.

Hello, @Just_want2print – Hope you are well 🙂
Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
Going through your post, I understand that your Photosmart 6515 printer is not printing black or color. Appreciate all your efforts in troubleshooting 🙂 Did you try changing the cartridges? If not try using an alternate black cartridge and check.
Alternatively, please follow the steps below to clean the print head which could help you fix this issue:
-
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
-
From the printer control panel, touch the Setup icon (
).
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Printhead. The printer cleans the printhead and then prints a test page.
-
Evaluate the print quality on the test page.
-
If the quality is unacceptable, touch Proceed and then, when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning. Repeat these steps for each cycle of cleaning, if necessary.
-
-
Repeat the cleaning procedure 2-3 times to get the black output.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂

I have tried a new black cartridge, cleaning procedure multiple times, even watched a You tube video from this site on cleaning with alcohol no water mix.
The color prints just fine, the black does not print.
I have spent hours hours on this trying to find solutions online, talking to friends and family, etc.
Friends and family tell ma to throw the printer out-but it is less than 2 years old!
Still hopeful, but not quite sure why...

Hello, @Just_want2print
It looks like a hardware issue with the printer head. I would recommend you contact the HP phone support to get printer service or a possible upgrade.
You can visit http://www.support.hp.com/contact-hp and fill in your product details to get the tech support number.
(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
If you have any troubles, let me know and I will do my best to help!
Cheers 🙂
