@jrh8,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue still persists after following the steps provided in the previous interaction.

You may try HP Photosmart 7510 printer from the list and check.

If the issue still persists, then you may need to contact phone support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp

You have a good day ahead.

Photosmart 7510 series and Photosmart 7510 series Class Driver were the closest match. I chose just the Photosmart 7510 Series, but the block to select "Apply" stayed grayed out so I dont think it worked.  Doing test pages as a page of three bank checks, the first run through has the blank areas within the text but the next two times I print the same document the characters are complety filled in.  If you have no other suggestions, I will try to contact someone tomorrow.  Thank you.

@jrh8

It looks like you were interacting with @Rainbow23, but he's out for the day

And I'll be glad to help you out.

The best way to resolve your concern is to Contact HP so that they can either repair/replacement (Free of charge, if the product is covered by HP Warranty).

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone numberCase number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

Before I do that, I just realized I could attach immages to my post. I want to attach two documents so you can see what happens when printing but the system won't accept a PDF file and it won't upload a text file.  How do I get a sample to you?

 I still need to know if following the instructions to soak the printhead in distilled water might fix the issue or if I should just contact HP by phone to request a new printhead.

@jrh8

Thank you for the update,

I appreciate your time and efforts,

Here's an official HP article that contains information on how to clean the printhead.

That said, if you wish to soak the printhead in distilled water and so on, I must say that could help, however, it's not recommended by HP.

I did some research on the procedure and Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped many others: Click here

If the above doesn't work or if you do not wish to perform the above-mentioned steps, the best and only other option is to Contact HP as mentioned before and they should replace the printhead (free of charge, if covered by HP warranty) if it's not covered anymore, nominal charges will apply.

Let me know how that pans out,

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
