Do you happen to have the pictoral directions for using the CD printing portion of the printer? I cannot find mine and therefore, can't figure out how to print. I have Roxio program for making CD labels, but from what I have found on the internet, there is suppose to be a program built into the "Solution Center." Problem is, I can't find the solution center. I use a Mac. Sure would love some help here.

I know this is a little old, but just search the Roxio boards for more information on PageFiles. Create a pagefile for the HPC309a and label creator seems to work OK.
This is the contents of the PageFile I'm using from the Roxio boards...
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\<version>\Label Creator <version>\Page Files\HPC309a.jwp
[Page Description]
/* Internationalize everything after name = (that line only)*/

I am not sure what is up with HP. The software that came with this printer sucked and I mean REALLY REALLY SUCKED but that GOD for microsoft publisher .. I've created some really neat discs that I feel proud to distribute to my clients.

I have been dealing with HP tech support for almost a solid week, each time online with them for at least 11/2 hours at a time. The problem is with my CD/DVD printing. Everything was working and printing fine on the disc until approximately 2 weeks ago. I use a standard disc (5inch/120mm). In all this time the label was centered correctly for printing. Now the issue that's occurring is that the label has been printing approximately 1/4 inch from the top of the disc and not printing edge to edge. And of course with that happening the inner diameter has dropped from position too. I've been using the software that came with the printer which has been working fine and also have use Acoustica Label also both working fine until recently.
This problem indicates to me that the tray is not going completely into the printer but I watched if from the back of the printer and I see no obstruction.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. HP support doesn't seem to understand what I'm explaining to them.

I have been communicating with HP Support online for a number of days concerning an issue with labels printing directly to CD/DVD discs. This application has been working fine up until 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, HP support doesn't seem to understand the problem.
As you can see from the sample the label is no longer printing edge to edge and causing the label to drop on the disc and not be centered. I use the HP application and Acoustica Label application (both have worked fine) until recently.
It seems that the tray is not going as far in as it should be but looking from the back while printing one, no obstruction is seen.
Any solution to this problem sure would be appreciated.
Thank you

I have found a method to print from 3rd partty software. print disc on plain or photo paper, scan to pc and save as jpeg file in my pictures. From there C309a will import it as a picture where it can be fitted and properly printed..
