Photosmart C4400 won't scan

I made it through all steps up to the part in Systems Preferences.  Can you provide more details on how to execute that step of the process (and anything after that might require more detail for someone not as tech savvy)?

I am not sure what you are looking for.  You also did not state your version of OS X.

If 10.6 or higher:

Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Restart your Mac.

Reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Re: C4400 It will scan but I can't get it to file to computer or send email from that copy?

Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.

Click once on the scanner on the left side, then click on Show Details along the bottom. Along the right side you will see LOTS of options for scanning and saving.

Hi, I have a Windows Computer.(with XP Prof.) I can scan and copy on paper, but can't scan and coy image to computer

or email that image. Your help please?

Download and install the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.
