Ok, so I just bought a photosmart D110a and it did not come with a USB cord, so wireless it is. I have a D Link DIR 615 router, and my iMac works fine with it. I tried connecting the printer, but it just said there may be a MAC address block on it. I tried adding in on my Router config website, but it said it was invalid (oh and MAC blocking was off).

So, after messing around with things, i got the printer to "connect" meaning it printed a sheet saying pass pass pass pass pass yep great pass...

but, the little blue light still blinks, my iMac cannot recnognize it, and even when i go to apps on the printer, it says trouble connecting, so i say ok, then it goes to apps.!!!!!! wtf!

The imac cannot find it, i downloaded the "new" drivers, but i don't notice any difference.

what is going on? geek squad wants 100 bucks to set it up, but this is only a $69 printer.

please! help!!!

I should say, in the first line I mention the imac works fine with it. by it i mean the router. not the printer. So far, web services on the printer are unable to connect, therefor no eprint. The Imac can find the printer, but not print, it says unable to connect to printer, will retry in...

the blue light on the wireless printer is still just blinking. The wireless prinout says pass pass pass etc.

basically connected, but not. please help!!!

I think its really not connected.  I assume you used the Wireless Setup WIzard on the front of the printer?

Anyway, here are a few things to help:

1. Make sure to not use WEP - use WPA or WPA2 instead - much more secure and fewer connection problems.

2. Make sure that 802.11g mode is enabled on your router.  Other modes are OK (like 802.11n), but g must be present.

3. Make sure that you are broadcasting your network name (SSID) and do not have MAC filtering enabled.
