Hi, this is my first post. I have looked at similar questions on the forum but have not found an answer yet.
I have an iMac running OSX 10.8.3 which is connected to the printer via USB. This works fine for both printing and scanning.
My wife has a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.3 which we cannot connect to the priniter wirelessly since we changed router.
My Broadband setup is Virginmedia cable 30mps. I use the Virginmedia hub as a modem and my router is a Western Digital N750 dual band. All our computers and TV are able to access the internet using this setup.
I have tried running HP Setup Assistant but when I try to configure for wireless printing A message pops up to say that the printer is not connected via a USB cable (It is connected and working via the cable) and it cannot find any Wireless networks.
The Wireless Network Test Report states that it cannot find my router and to check the SSID is correct. Under configeration summary it gives the SSID as that of my previous router.
The Network Configeration page does not provide an IP address for the printer, but it does confirm it has discovered 9 networks including my own.
I am stuck for what to do next.

Are you trying to use the print as USB and wireless network at the same time? You must choose to use the printer as USB or as a network device. It won't work with both connections at the same time.

Hi,
Thank you for posting,
Please check and make sure the Wireless Mode or the Band on the router is set to 802.11 B/G/N 2.4GHZ or Mixed mode and the Wireelss Channel on the router is set to 11 and move the printer closer to the router and try to connect the printer to the network and check.

Mike,
Thank you for your response. Prior changing my router, I was able to use the printer and scanner function via USB from my iMac and my wife was able to use the printer function only wirelessly, though not at the same time obviously. Interestingly normally the printer appears as 2 printers on the computer one which is USB and the other wireless.

BharathKumark thank you for your post. The router is on mixed mode, being dual band has both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz simulaneously and is set to channel 11 for 2.4 GHz. The printer is situated where there is an excellent signal.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply,
In that case please make sure the printer is connecting to the SSID of the 2.4GHZ Network and there is no MAC filtering enabled on the router. If the MAC Filter is enabled on the router, you will have to add the MAC address of the printer in the acess list.
You can find the MAC address of the printer in the Network Test Report or the Network Configuration Page.

Hi Chuck,
Have you tried the wireless setup wizard accessible from the front panel of your printer? That is what I would recommend you do first to get your printer on your network. Run the wireless setup wizard from the front panel of your printer and it should find all of the SSID's in your area. You should see the new one for your network. Simply select it and then enter the network key, if there is one, and your printer will then be on your network. Then print out a network configuration page to verify that your printer has an IP address. Let me know how things go.

Hi Mike
Maybe I am missing something but I cannot find the wizard. The options I have are:
Enable/disable wireless
Wireless settings and
WPS
Under wireless settings the options are:
Print network configeration page
Run wireless network test and
Restore network defaults

Of those options I would first try:
Print network configuration page
If your printer has an IP address it should be shown on this page. This page should also tell you what SSID you are connected to.
then try:
Run wireless network test
Let me know if you get an IP address and if the SSID is the correct one. Also let me know what the network test tells you.
