Printer 5540
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When attempting to make a COPY the printer tells us that we "cannot support 4x5 paper", we have unplugged the printer, tried to make change to 8.5x11 letter size, which is shown as default paper.  We can print with no problem, our only issue comes when we try to make a copy.  Purchased  5540 printer on 12/19/16.

We cannot find any solution on line to resolve this.

Please help.

Thank you

Assuming you have installed the Full Feature Software for the HP Envy 5540 printer and that the printer is on your network, use the Embedded Web Server to adjust the COPY defaults.

The example shows the "default" paper size as 4X6 inches -- change your Media Size to "Letter (8.5x11 in)".

If the setting fails to show up immediately, restart the printer.
