Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi

Last week i brought black and color cartridges. Installed both today few minutes back , but got "Previously Used Geniune HP Cartridges Installed", this message was only for the color cartridge. Do i need to worry about it? What is this message all about? Why does it say "Previously Used"?

In the ink level display show all good.

Thank you

Hi @RameshRK,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums with your message inquiry.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer that you bought a black and tricolor cartridge for and when you put them in the printer it is saying that the tricolor cartridge has been previously used. I would like to help with that.

The message is meant to indicate refilled or counterfeit ink cartridges, but it can also occur when a genuine HP cartridge is depleted or almost depleted.

The 'Used, Refilled, or Counterfeit Cartridge Detected' error message refers to Missed Rewards. HP Rewards are offered when you first install a genuine HP cartridge. If you receive this message long after you installed a new cartridge, you can disregard it.

Here is a support document that can help with the "Previously Used Genuine HP Cartridges Installed" message - A 'Used or Counterfeit Cartridge Detected' or 'Counterfeit Cartridge Advisory' Message Displays.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
