DeskJet 3520

The supposed HP expert said:

"The printhead on this printer (3520) can't be removed. "

I just did it, its easy.

1. remove the cover

2. center the carriage in the opening

3. remove the two springs

4. CAREFULLY rotate the head assembly up and backwards. Dont damage the position sensing ribbon or 3 flat cables

5. From the circuit board, remove the three ribbon cables, they pull straight out.

There it is in your hand.

Reinstallation is more tricky, the position tape must be reinstalled in the photo sensor or youll get a "remove carriage jam" warning as the system doesnt know where the carriage is.

Question. Why do HP "experts" know nothing about the product? These supposed "experts" only seem to be able to "guide" somoene to bying a new printer...
