Printer wont print both sides page for paper sparing

Hi! @Edlev, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand that your printer will not print on both sides of the page.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

What are your paper settings?  Duplex printing is not compatible with photo paper or if the setting is "Automatic" and the paper type detected as photo or transparency media.

Try selecting Plain Paper as the paper type.

Also, try the steps recommended below.

There are different methods of enabling two-sided printing accessory:
During printing installation
Two-sided printing is automatically enabled during printer installation if YES is selected when the question Do you have a two-sided printing module? displays during the installation process.
Three-Tab Toolbox
Right-click the Taskbar Printer icon.
Select the Services table.
Click the Service this device button.
Select the Configuration tab.
Click the Automatic Two-Sided Printing Module box.
Click Apply.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot printing on both sides.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂

Your advice has not solved my problem.

I must make it clear that double side printing was perfect for a long while and ceased suddenly.

As far as I am aware and going into the printer menu, settings of paper etc are correct.

Need further help.

@Edlev, Thanks for your response and time.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned even after trying out the steps the issue still persists.

Please try the steps recommended below.

Use the duplexing settings in the print driver to print on both sides of the pages.
 NOTE:
To avoid paper jams, do not print on both sides of transparencies, envelopes, photo paper, glossy paper, paper lighter than 60 g/m2 (16 lb) and paper heavier than 105 g/m2 (28 lb).
To avoid page ordering issues, load enough blank paper into the input tray to fully complete your print job.
Open the document that you want to print, click File, then click Print.
Select the name of your printer, then click Printer Properties or Preferences, or Printer Setup, depending on what displays.
The Document Properties or Printing Preferences window opens.
If a Printing shortcuts tab is available, select the Print on Both Sides or Two-sided (Duplex) Printing option, if available.
If a Printing Shortcut tab or a duplexing shortcut is not available, click the Layout, Features, or Finishing tab, depending on which tab displays in your driver version.
Locate the Print on Both Sides or Two-sided printing menu or option, then select the binding or page flip option depending on if you want the document to read like a booklet or a tablet.
Click OK, then click Print.
 NOTE:
If the printer automatically pulls the pages back in and prints the other side, your printer supports automatic duplexing. The print job completes and you do not need to continue with these steps.

Refer this article to know more information about printing on both sides.
